Minecraft Movie Delayed As Director Rob McElhenney Exits

Warner Bros.’ Minecraft movie has been delayed following the loss of Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), who was attacked as director and co-writer of the project. The adaptation of the hit video game was previously scheduled for release in May 2019.

He’s the second director to leave the project, following the departure of Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) amid creative differences with the game’s developer.
